Nicolls Peak is located in Kern County, about 3 miles south of
the town of Weldon, 175 miles from Los Angeles. It is on BLM land,
just north of the
Sequoia National Forest.
Nicolls Peak was added to the HPS Peak List
in 1966.

Peak Guides
HPS has one current documented route to the
peak. Route 1 is 3 miles round
trip with a total of 2000' of gain, almost entirely cross country and steep,
before scrambling up some easy Class 2 rock to the summit. Many have found
the greatest challenge to be simply finding the trailhead.
