OUTINGS
OUTINGS ARE FUN
Outings are just plain fun. They give you a chance to explore
and enjoy our mountains with friends who share your interests. In fact,
one of the main purposes of our outings is to deepen our appreciation of
and support for protecting the Los Angeles area mountains.
Outings vary
in difficulty and pace, which means anyone from novices to trail runners can
find trips that fit their conditioning. Most hikes are for people only, but
well-behaved dogs are welcome on hikes so designated.
And no, you don't need to be a member of the Sierra Club.
WHAT TO BRING
Yourself. Unless otherwise specified, sturdy shoes and outdoor clothing,
layers to cope with changing weather, food and water, a first aid kit,
a hat!, sunscreen. A sense of wonder, a sense of adventure, a sense of humor...
LIABILITY
Like all organizations, the Sierra Club is sensitive to
liability issues arising from our activities.
All participants on Sierra Club outings are required to sign a
standard
liability waiver.
FREE
Unless otherwise stated, there is no charge or fee to participate
in our outings.

information including how to contact the leaders.

Check back here a few days before the outing is to take place, or contact the leader(s), to confirm the status of outings before making final plans. And new outings are being added all the time, yet another reason to check back!
