Outings are just plain fun. They give you a chance to explore and enjoy our mountains with friends who share your interests. In fact, one of the main purposes of our outings is to deepen our appreciation for and support for protecting the Los Angeles-area mountains. Outings vary in difficulty and pace, which means anyone from novices to trail runners can find trips that fit their conditioning.
Most hikes are for people only, but well-behaved dogs are welcome on hikes so designated. And no, you don’t need to be a member of the Sierra Club. Along the way, you can celebrate your Emblems & Accomplishments and browse our official Merchandise. Discover the beauty of the Hundred Peaks, and if you’d like to support our efforts, consider choosing to Donate or simply calling us for more information.
Yourself. Unless otherwise specified, sturdy shoes and outdoor clothing, layers to cope with changing weather, food and water, a first aid kit, a hat, and sunscreen. Like all organizations, the Sierra Club is sensitive to liability issues arising from our activities. All participants on Sierra Club outings are required to sign a standard liability waiver. Follow us on Facebook to stay updated on our latest hikes and announcements.
Unless otherwise stated, there is no charge or fee to participate in our outings. Don’t forget to sign up for our Newsletter to receive updates on the Hundred Peaks and upcoming adventures.
