Peak Guides
HPS has three documented routes to the
peak. Route 1 is 4 miles round
trip with a total of 1450' gain, an interesting cross country hike
via ridges and gullies, passing the crater en route.
Route 2 is 9 miles
round trip, and 2000' gain, a combination of dirt road and cross-country.
Route 3 is shorter and less complicated
than Route 1: 3 miles round trip, 1500' gain, from a trailhead a mile and
a half further in. All the roads in this area are dirt and can be challenging
to drive.
