Location
As the area high point, Inspiration does in fact have an inspiring view, of Joshua Tree National Park to the north and the rugged and rarely visited southwest portions of the park and Palm Desert area to the south. It is definitely worth a visit, and the view from the Keys View parking area is almost as good as from the peak.
Route 1 starts from Keys View parking area and meanders along the top of the ridge on use trail to the peak.
