Location: San Bernardino County, California

Named for the overview of the area possible from this spot--there never was a fire watch tower here.

Delisted from HPS Peak List (1970). Luella Fickle writes that it was dropped from the List, "because hikers were ... ending up in a private campground, which caused some complaints. With proper use of peak guides maybe it could be put back on ... it has a good view."

Name first appears on USGS San Gorgonio quad (1902).

Peak was on the original 1946 HPS Peak List.
