Location: San Bernardino County, California
Name given by USFS in 1926, for as yet unknown reasons, while this peak was part of the “Big Pines Playground Area” leased to LA County. This name Probably just sounded nice to the resort operators.
First cited by the USGS on San Antonio quad (1942).
Peak was on the original 1946 HPS Peak List.
