Location
Named for the silvery metal once mined here, Antimony by itself is a moderate hike, though it is typically just a stop on the way to Eagle Rest, a much more strenuous outing. Like Eagle Rest, it has outstanding views of the green and pretty Cuddy Valley, Mount Pinos and other beautiful pine-forested peaks.
Route 1 follows an old road once used by miners to transport their ore. It first descends, then continues gradually uphill to a saddle, then another quarter mile to the peak. There is 800′ of elevation gain on your return.

At 1.0 mile, fork. Go left.

Hiking route
From the parking area (6660′), hike down a jeep road that starts at the parking area, following it down into a saddle, and then around the southwest side of elevation 6670′ to another saddle at 6000′. The jeep road (in very poor condition) makes six switchbacks up the face of Antimony.
At the high point of the road, go to the right cross-country up the ridge about 1/4 mile to the summit.
