Saturday morning, February 14, St. Valentines Day, 10 of us rode the Palm Springs Tram up to the mountain station.
There was no snow, but a few patches of ice here and there; and as the main trail had lots of ice, we went cross country.
We hit snow at about the 9,000 foot level, but not enough to get any ice axe practice.
Everyone made it to the peak, where we had lunch; on the way down, a few did some sitting glissades.
A good time was had by all.
